Please plan to be onsite ready to run by 7:00 a.m. on your testing date so that the judges can address all handlers before we get started. At that time, the schedule for the day will be announced. You may receive a running order in advance from the test secretary but note that the judges can make changes at any time to keep the test running in an expeditious manner. When you arrive do check in with the test secretary and the field marshal. We ask that you not take your dog into any of the field areas unless the test secretary or field marshal has given the OK, as depending on the number of dogs running all fields may be needed; there are other areas onsite where you may be directed to air your dog, If you have a bitch in season please keep her on leash and away from testing areas when outside of your vehicle. Be prepared to be onsite all day as the number of dogs being tested, variety of test levels, and weather conditions all factor in to how long it takes for each dog to be properly evaluated by the judging team. The judges will address everyone again at the end of the day at which time all scores will be read. If you have additional questions in advance, please contact the test secretary. We look forward to meeting you and your dog!
Per NAVHDA international guidance we must adhere to all state and local guidelines regarding COVID-19. No one with a fever or symptoms of COVID-19, a positive diagnostic test for the virus that causes COVID-19 in the prior 10 days or known exposure to a COVID-19 case in the prior 14 days is permitted onsite. Since we do not know exactly what regulations may be in effect at the time of the test, we ask at a minimum that everyone be prepared to observe appropriate physical distancing and not bring additional observers with them. Masks are required for situations where distancing is impossible, such as when the judges are performing a physical examination of your dog. The bathrooms onsite are port-a-potties and there is no running water for hand washing. We will have hand sanitizer available but you may want to bring your own wipes, paper towels, etc... Unfortunately we will not be able to offer communal food or beverages as we usually would. Please bring coffee, lunch, water, and anything else you need with you as there are no nearby options for carryout.
